Kathryn (Katie) M. Brown is a member of the Litigation Practice, where her practice focuses on complex and general litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Edmund A. Sargus, Jr., US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio; the Honorable Karen Nelson Moore, US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; and the Honorable Judith E. Levy, US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She also worked as a summer associate at another top 20 international law firm in Washington DC, and as a legal extern for the Honorable James B. Zagel, US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Katie graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, where she was a book review editor for the Michigan Law Review, the board chair of the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition, and a student attorney in the Federal Appellate Litigation and Human Trafficking Clinics. Before law school, she worked in nonprofits and trade associations.
