Peter Crossley is a partner in our International Dispute Resolution practice, and is the head of that group in our London office. He is the firm’s former European and Middle East Managing Partner and before that served as the Head of Litigation. He has more than 30 years of experience as a commercial litigator in the UK, and initially in South Africa. Peter is also a qualified Mediator and has conducted mediation work for over 20 years.

His work involves acting for a wide range of businesses and includes international sales of goods disputes, fraud compliance and regulatory work, contractual warranty claims, partnership and shareholder disputes.

Peter has been listed as a leading commercial litigator in both Chambers UK and The Legal 500 UK.

Peter is active in a number of business and community organisations. He is a Trust Governor of the Crossley Heath School in Halifax, UK.

  • Acting in a £20 million warranty claim arising out of an institutional buy-out of a manufacturing group in Belgium. 
  • Defending a number of multi million pound product liability claims, one against a major plc. 
  • Handling a major and highly sensitive regulatory and compliance issue for a plc. 
  • Dealing with a high profile professional negligence case against a Barrister (now a judge) and a well-known firm of solicitors.
  • Representing a substantial US shipper in a major Bill of Lading dispute.
  • Successfully representing and defending a major medical devices manufacturer against claims by a distributor for hundreds of millions of euros in an LCIA arbitration.
  • Dealing with a major media case involving issues and claims arising out of the screening of the BBC interview with the former Princess of Wales.
