Fergus Gallagher focuses his practice on corporate matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity capital raisings, corporate restructurings and venture capital investments.
Fergus also uses the experience gathered while on secondment at two multinational investment banks when advising both investment banks and corporates on public M&A, Class 1 and Related Party transactions under the UK Listing Rules, and primary and secondary capital markets transactions. Fergus has also advised issuers, investors and financial advisers on a range of private fundraisings.

- Advising Smiths Group plc in relation to its US$345 million acquisition of United Flexible Inc.*
- Advising Smiths Group plc in relation to its acquisition of Seebach Gmbh.*
- Advising Colony Capital in relation to various Irish property development joint venture arrangements.*
- Advising Asahi Group Holdings Ltd on its £250 million acquisition of Fuller, Smith & Turner plc’s entire beer and cider business and in relation to its venture capital investment in Sliabh Liag Distillers, an Irish gin and whiskey producer.*
- Advising SABMiller plc on the formation of MillerCoors LLC, its joint venture with Molson Coors in the US and Puerto Rico.*
- Advising Fortress in relation to the acquisition of Majestic Wine Warehouses.*
- Advising Investec plc and SC Lowy in relation to their combined investment in the Gaucho Group and associated joint venture arrangements.*
- Advising Zopa on its £60 million private fundraising.*
