Roy Grist is a partner in our Financial Services Practice Group in our Birmingham office.

Roy joined us in December 2010. He has extensive experience in advising lenders and borrowers on a broad mix of national and international corporate banking transactions, including acquisition finance, property and development finance, asset-based finance, restructurings and joint venture funding.

  • Advising Wonder in connection with a £30 million funding package from PNC.
  • Advising a major UK bank in connection with a £20 million-plus facility to a leading residential property regeneration company.
  • Advising Leonardo Hotels on financing the construction of a new hotel in Dublin.
  • Advising Friend MTS Limited in connection with a refinancing by HSBC UK of its existing debt.
  • Advising Hackman Capital Partners in connection with financing the acquisition of two renowned film and television studios in Ireland.
  • Advising Endless LLP in connection with financing its acquisition of, and investment into, a substantial part of the international operations of Party City.
  • Advising Lloyds Bank in connection with its facilities to I.M. Properties Plc.
  • Advising one of the UK’s largest pension funds in connection with financing an innovative Help to Own housing scheme in Wolverhampton targeted at key workers.
  • Advising various English football clubs on their debt financing arrangements.
