Prew Lumley is a property partner in the Leeds office of the Real Estate Practice and has more than 25 years’ experience as a commercial property lawyer. She is also the office managing partner of the Leeds office.

Prew has a wealth of experience in acting for a range of developers on sites throughout the UK. She also heads the retail real estate team and acts for a number of well-known high street retailers and restaurants. Prew also manages the property portfolio of various large corporate occupiers.

Prew is a leading property lawyer and works with a number of very high-profile property clients. Her work is a blend of complex development work, strategic land work and property portfolio management.

  • Advising a well-known global burger chain on its launch and expansion in the UK.
  • Acting for Henry Boot Developments on various schemes throughout the UK, including the 40-acre Imperial Tobacco site where Prew and her team acted on the acquisition, lease back of part to Imperial Tobacco and forward funded development of six warehouses comprising 426,463 square feet of space.
  • Advising Ainscough Strategic Land on numerous planning promotion agreements and sales, including the sale of a 365-acre site in Swindon for the development of 2,500 homes.
  • Leading a team that negotiated over 200 new leases for Clintons in a 12-month period following it being bought out of administration.
  • Advising a global makeup brand on its flagship new office on The Strand and several new stores in the UK.
  • Acting for Bizspace Limited, a leading operator of office and light industrial centres throughout the UK. Prew has led a team acting on the acquisition and disposal of centres and the ongoing management of all of the assets.
  • Prew leads the retail team that acts for many well-known retailers, including Pizza Hut, Theo Paphitis Retail Group (Rymans, Partners the Stationers and Boux Avenue), URBN Limited (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free People), KFC, Perry Ellis, Pronovias and Lanvin.
  • Advising a very large North West-based developer on the acquisition and management of a shopping centre.
