O'Neill, Debbie

Debbie O'Neill

Debbie has over 20 years experience in all aspects of corporate real estate including acquisitions and disposals and with a particular expertise in landlord and tenant law.

After obtaining her Law Degree and prior to her qualification as a lawyer she went to live and work in Hong Kong as a Clerk to a Barrister. Upon returning to the UK she came to the firm as a paralegal and whilst working studied as well to qualify in 1992 as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. She has now been qualified for nearly 20 years.

She has a wide variety of clients with whom she has very good relationships. In particular she does a lot of landlord and tenant work for Signet Group and the charity Cancer Research UK (both clients of which we deal with the whole of their UK property portfolio). Much of that work is acting on behalf of tenants but she also acts for client Landlords such as a large science park in Birmingham dealing with their lettings and company restructuring. She also has experience in secured lending and refinancing and generally all property related matters in connection with various client investors and occupiers.

Outside of work Debbie has a large variety of interests and to give something back to the community she has now been a volunteer for the last eight years on a telephone help line for suicidal and despairing people ('the Samaritans').
