The Migrating Impact of Vapor Intrusion

27 April 2015

This one-hour teleconference is presented by the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, Superfund and Natural Resources Damages Litigation Committee, in conjunction with the Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts Committee.

There is a growing trend of toxic tort actions involving vapor intrusion issues being brought against defendants who are not geographically connected to the source of the contamination, which is usually a Superfund site. These cases have huge public policy impacts and US EPA is promulgating new guidance regarding vapor intrusion that will have wide applicability to virtually any Superfund (or other cleanup sites) where volatile organics are present.

Chris Amantea, Squire Patton Boggs partner and Vice Chair, Programs, Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts Committee, will serve as a panelist along with Helen Dawson, Geosyntec, and Kate Campbell, Manko, Gold, Katcher and Fox. The program will be moderated by John Gullace, Vice Chair, Programs, Superfund and Natural Resources Damages Litigation Committee and Manko Gold Katcher & Fox partner.
