Pensions Contracting-out: The End is Nigh, But Are You Ready?

The introduction of the new State Pension from 6 April 2016 – and with it the abolition of contracting-out – is imminent. All pension plans containing contracted-out benefits (including reference scheme test benefits and/or guaranteed minimum pensions) will be affected to some extent, and it is important that employers and trustees understand the implications of this important development for their pension plan.
