The International Legal Office (ILO) and Lexology have selected two Squire Patton Boggs partners as 2017 “Client Choice Awards” winners. Honorees represent the sole winners in their respective category and are determined based on a survey of more than 2,500 senior corporate counsel and individual client assessments. The recognized partners are:

- James S. Tsang – Hong Kong: Private Client
A trial lawyer with jury and bench trial experience in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings, Mr. McQuaid focuses on commercial litigation cases involving complex factual and evidentiary review and analysis, including actively managing the discovery and evidentiary presentation in such complex cases. Mr. McQuaid’s practiced has particularly emphasized construction, tax and toxic tort litigation. His clients include energy, mining, smelting and chemical companies, and Fortune 500 companies in other industries.
Mr. Tsang provides US income and estate tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and family groups. His representations include handling personal tax and estate planning for trusts and holding companies, minimizing US estate and inheritance taxes, avoiding US probate proceedings and revising existing structures in accordance with US laws relating to offshore trusts, as well as representation of clients before the IRS. Mr. Tsang is experienced in international and US estate planning to reduce estate, inheritance and other succession taxes worldwide, including the application of tax treaties, as well as the establishment and operation of international charitable foundations.
