Dr. Annette Demmel is located in our Berlin office and a certified information technology lawyer (Fachanwältin für Informationstechnologierecht) as well as a certified copyright and media lawyer (Fachanwältin für Urheber- und Medienrecht)

For more than 15 years Annette has advised national and international businesses in data protection, e-privacy, technology and telecommunications law, as well as copyright and media law. She has been involved in the implementation of privacy compliance solutions for a broad range of multinational companies and provides advice on policy and regulatory issues arising in the electronic communications and internet sectors. Annette also advises clients on legal issues relating to web-based marketing and distribution business models and acts as an external Data Protection Officer for various clients. She frequently represents clients on contentious and non-contentious matters in Germany and on a multi-jurisdictional basis.

  • Advising an US-based marketing company with one of the world’s largest databases for consumer marketing on data protection, serving as an external data protection officer for their German enterprise.
