Andrew Johnson


Andrew is a lawyer in the Restructuring & Insolvency practice based in the London office.  His practice focuses primarily on acting for financiers, officeholders and individuals in all aspects of insolvency, business sales and acquisitions, restructurings, asset recovery and advising secure lenders on their security. Andrew has undertaken secondments at LiveNation and Squire Patton Boggs' Hong Kong office, and is currently on secondment for a year in the Business Support Unit at Lloyds Banking Group.

Prior to joining the firm, Andrew worked as an analyst at Bloomberg specialising in equities and transactional products in the European and North American markets.


  • Acting for officeholders in a wide variety of industries such as logistics and construction, music and media, sport, manufacturing, property investment, recruitment and charities. 
  • Assisted in the advice and appointment of administrators over two prominent football league clubs.
  • Advising on the CVA of a manufacturing business coming out of administration.  
  • Negotiating and advising officeholders, financiers and sellers in relation to the sale of businesses out of insolvency.  
  • Acting for and advising banks and asset based lenders in relation to the default of their clients and the recovery, enforcement and insolvency procedures available to them. 
  • Acting for LPA receivers and administrative receivers in relation to portfolios of properties and landlords in their claims against insolvent tenants. 
  • Dealing with preference, undervalue, misfeasance, wrongful and fraudulent trading actions on behalf of officeholders.
