Katie joined the London office in 1995 as a commercial litigator and worked extensively on a variety of large contractual disputes with particular expertise in IT litigation. In 2004, Katie moved across to join the Professional Support team and now supports the Litigation and International Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. 

Working closely with the Practice Group Leaders, Katie advises lawyers in the UK on changes in the law, civil and arbitral procedure; provides training; gives advice on issue of compliance and conduct and also drafts precedents and other best practice guidance. Katie is frequently asked to advise clients on discrete areas of law particularly relating to civil procedure, cost issues and funding. With the recent changes to the funding of litigation in the UK and costs recovery position, Katie acts as central resource for lawyers and clients on the implications of this and provides training to client teams on those changes. 

Katie assists the Squire Patton Boggs eDiscovery & Data Management team in the UK and serves as a resource for lawyers and clients in matters involving the preservation and discovery (disclosure) of electronic documents. 

Working closely with the Learning and Professional Development team, Katie supports and trains trainee solicitors and associates. She has co-delivered the Client Care and Professional Skills course and assisted with Presentation Skills Training. 

Katie prepares client publications and legal updates on topics of interests. She is co-ordinating editor of the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Newsletter and wrote the jurisdiction chapter in the practice’s new publication E-commerce and Convergence: A Guide to the Law of Digital Media
