We are looking for an International Dispute Resolution (IDR) Intern to join our highly successful International Dispute Resolution team in our London office and work on international arbitration cases. This is an exciting time to join Squire Patton Boggs, with the opportunity to work from an international platform and be involved in the superb international work done by our IDR teams.
The successful candidate will carry out a variety of work, including providing support with commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, conducting research and assisting with written submissions and oral hearings.
The successful candidate will join our London team, which is the central hub of our international arbitration practice. From London, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the team on cutting-edge procedural and substantive arbitration issues.
Our integrated IDR practice embraces our longstanding “one-firm firm” philosophy and leverages our global resources to protect our clients around the world. The successes we have obtained for our clients are widely recognized in the international arbitration community. This is an opportunity for you to be involved in one of the few international legal practices that can give you a truly global outlook.
Our global award-winning team is ranked 23rd in Global Arbitration Review’s 2018 rankings of the top 30 international arbitration firms in the world, and was recently recognized in GAR 100 – 10th Edition as among the leading international arbitration practitioners. We have previously been listed in the GAR 30 in 2015 and were shortlisted for the GAR Awards 2015: “Most Important Published Decision of 2014 for jurisprudential or other reason”. We were also nominated for “Large International Arbitration Practice that Impressed in the Past Year” at the GAR Awards 2014.
Internships in the London office will last for four months. You will be working with partners that are nationally and internationally respected, as part of a team that provides a pre-eminent service in complex international arbitrations and international litigation, with high values at stake against top-ranked arbitration firms.
We have three different internship intake dates: 1 September, 1 January and 1 May.
The application deadlines for each of the intakes are 15 June, 15 October, 15 February respectively.
Successful applicants will typically be recently qualified lawyers or post-graduate students looking to develop their skills in the field of international arbitration.
