We are proud to serve as a corporate sponsor to the Midwest Region of the National Black Law Students Association’s (NBLSA) 2017 Regional Convention, February 22-25 at Cleveland State University. Senior associate Marques Richeson will judge a mock trial competition and present awards during the convention’s evening gala.
On February 24, the Cleveland office will host a special welcome reception for about 60 students attending the convention. Attendees will be welcomed by the Cleveland office managing partner Michele Connell, who will describe our firm’s culture and our strength in Cleveland and beyond. Partner Fred Nance will introduce several of our partners, including Tom Stanton, and briefly speak about his personal experience in joining our firm as a summer associate and eventually taking on a central leadership role as Global Managing Partner of our US LLP.
Attendees will enjoy fantastic views of Cleveland from our 49th floor, tasty hors d’oeuvres, live jazz from three talented musicians from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the warm hospitality that has become a staple of events at our firm.
The mission of NBLSA is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black and minority attorneys who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their community.
