Workplace investigations can be complicated, time-consuming and a significant distraction for any business. One party is bound to complain that the process has been too invasive and public and another that it was insufficiently thorough or tainted by bias or prejudice. No wonder that managers often fight shy of getting involved.
Join us at our May Employment Workshop when we will use a case study involving allegations of sexual harassment to explore the key legal and practical issues that arise when conducting workplace investigations.
We will consider:
The role of an investigator
Planning the investigation – Scoping and objectives
Evidence – What should you be looking for? How much investigation is required?
Dealing with witnesses
The investigation report – Access, structure and presentation
Findings and recommendations – Points to consider
As always, you will have an opportunity to ask questions of our experts and share your experiences with other delegates.
This workshop is suitable for line managers, as well as legal and HR professionals.
Cost
£40 plus VAT
Refreshments will be provided
Duration
Registration is at 8:45 a.m. for a 9 a.m. start. The workshop will last 1 1/2 hours.
