As the country is now in a second lockdown at one of the busiest trading periods of the year, many sectors will be facing a difficult Christmas period. The challenges to the retail and hospitality sector will be felt more keenly than most. However, there are investors for whom troubled sectors are still an interesting proposition.
We will hear perspectives on the state-of-play within the sector, to what extent the government’s support continues to address the challenges within it and why private capital is stepping up to help the economic recovery. As we move into 2021, how will the sector fare and how might that government support evolve?
Hosted by international affairs advisor Matthew Kirk, we will be joined by Tom Jack, partner at Endless LLP, Richard Lim, chief executive of Retail Economics and Prew Lumley, partner in our Real Estate Practice.
