2021 Women in Energy and Environment Webinar Series: Packaging Changes, Extended Producer Responsibility, Recycling and Single-use Plastics in the UK and the EU – How Is Your Business Affected?
Join us for the third session in our four-part Women in Energy and Environment Webinar Series.
We will focus on the developments in relation to UK plastics legislation and the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regime for packaging. We will explore the concept of EPR and highlight some of the key changes likely to affect your business. We will discuss EU legislation relating to single-use plastics and the new UK Plastics Tax, and provide an overview of what single-use plastics means, what the legislation says and how the tax will work. Finally, we will look at future plastics initiatives in the UK and abroad, to provide an overview of what we can expect next in the UK by way of plastics initiatives, as well as what other countries are doing and how this may influence further UK developments.
For our US audience, general CLE is pending for one hour in the following jurisdictions: AZ, CA, NJ, NY, OH and TX.
An invitation to the final webinar in our series will be shared in due course:
Tuesday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to noon ET – The Biden Administration’s Regulatory Agenda for Energy and Environment – Carolyn McIntosh, Emily Huggins Jones and Lianne Mantione
