EU Anti-Dumping Investigation to Include TV Tubes From China, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand
- Initiation: An anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of certain color TV tubes originating in the People's Republic of China, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand was initiated on 11 January 2006, with a notice of initiation (NOI) published in the Official Journal on the same date.
- Product Concerned: The product allegedly being dumped is cathode-ray color television picture tubes of all sizes, including video monitor cathode ray tubes. This product is normally classified within CN-codes 8540 11 11, 8540 11 13, 8540 11 15, 8540 11 19 and 8540 11 99.
- General Deadline: Interested parties should contact the Commission no later than 10 days from the date of the NOI publication (11 January) in order to find whether they are listed in the complaint, and (if necessary) request a questionnaire no later than 15 days from the date of the NOI publication.
- Deadline for Sampling: China-based producers/exporters must make themselves known to the Commission and provide the information requested in the NOI within 15 days of the NOI publication (exporting companies usually have an interest in being included in the sample). Final selection of sampled companies will be made within 21 days of the NOI publication. Selected producers/exporters must reply to the questionnaire within 37 days from the date the Commission has notified their inclusion in the sample. All other parties must submit their questionnaire replies and request a hearing within 40 days of the NOI publication.
