The Green Initiative Committee – Carbon Footprint Calculator for Legal Service Organizations

    View Authors October 2009
Squire Sanders partner Douglas A. McWilliams has published an article in the October 2009 issue of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal on how law offices can calculate their environmental impact. By using a carbon footprint calculation measuring the contributions of greenhouse gases per unit of production, law offices can quantify the climate change benefits of reducing consumptions. Mr. McWilliams’ article reviews three components for carbon footprint calculations considering a law office’s use of electricity and heat, transportation, and paper and other raw materials.
