    Suspected-carcinogen hexavalent chromium has been making headlines recently in the wake of a report documenting the  prevalence of the chemical in drinking water in the United States. Now, a new report released in February links hexavalent chromium contamination to coal ash—a development likely to attract the attention of regulators and plaintiffs’ lawyers at a time when new regulations for drinking water standards and coal ash are being contemplated.
