On February 25, 2011, the U.S. Government imposed sanctions on the Government of Libya.  Currently, these sanctions target only the Qadhafi regime, but the situation is changing daily. The primary sanctions block property and interests in property of the Government of Libya (including the Central Bank of Libya and other agencies, instrumentalities or controlled entities of the Government of Libya), Qadhafi family members, senior officials of the Libyan Government, officials who have contributed to human rights abuses related to political repression in Libya, persons who have provided material assistance to such persons and those with family relationships, ownership or control over or by, or are agents of, such persons.
