The article provides an overview of recent developments in spectrum policy in Europe and the US, including legislative updates and a focus on market-based measures such as the secondary trading of spectrum. The article also highlights competition concerns on both continents and discusses differences in spectrum management approaches. On a European level, the article discusses the EU Radio Spectrum Policy Programme and the Digital Agenda, while in the US, spectrum relocation initiatives are analysed.
