SECURITIES LAW CLIENT ALERT: The SEC Approves New Rules for Reverse-Merger Companies to Become Listed on the Major U.S. Exchanges

    The U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved significant new rules of the three major U.S. listing markets placing tighter restrictions and requirements on reverse-merger companies (RMCs) before they can become listed on those exchanges. These new rules, which were announced on November 9, 2011, constitute the SEC’s and the major U.S. exchanges’ latest effort to regulate and restore confidence in this embattled segment of public companies.
