Stephen J. Goldstein, Squire Sanders’ Director of Practice Support, was a featured panelist in the June 2012 edition of Metropolitan Corporate Counsel. The panel discussion “Judge Peck, Da Silva Moore and the Outlook for Predictive Coding” examined the impact of Monique Da Silva Moore, et al. v. Publicis Groupe, the first decision to explicitly approve the use of predictive coding in electronic discovery. Stephen discusses the significance of that decision and what guidelines it provides for use of predictive coding. He also discusses the benefits of predictive coding, black box algorithms and issues of defensibility.
