Case Law Update: The Rugby Football Union v Consolidated Information Services Limited

    In November 2012, the Supreme Court of England and Wales ordered Viagogo (an online ticket exchange) to disclose the identities of those selling rugby union tickets for more than face value on the exchange site, in breach of the terms and conditions attaching to those tickets.  This article analyses that decision and assesses the lasting impact it is likely to have on the secondary ticket market and ticket touting practices in the UK.
