Squire Sanders ranked as the market leader for private equity in Russia.
For the second year in a row Squire Sanders has been ranked in the highest band of law firms covering private equity in Russia. This year the new edition of independent legal directory Chambers Europe 2013 sets Squire Sanders apart as a clear market leader by placing it as the sole law firm in Band 1.
Chambers Europe 2013 says of Squire Sanders: “This firm has had a notable focus on the Russian private equity market for a number of years, and has been rewarded with an impressive portfolio of Russian and international clients. The group's in-depth knowledge of the sector distinguishes it from competitors, and its significant experience marks it out as a leader in the field”.
Squire Sanders is also the only firm to have two partners singled out as Band 1 ranked individuals in this area: Christopher Rose is described as “one of the most visible and respected private equity practitioners in the Russian market”, and David Wack is commended for his “knowledge of diverse sectors, including retail, infrastructure, telecoms, media and energy, and clients are very appreciative of his commercial focus”.
