TUPE and Flexible Working – Implementation Dates Announced

    The UK’s Department for Business Innovation & Skills has published a statement setting out the new regulations that will be coming into force between January and June 2014.

    Key Dates for Employers to be Aware of

    31 January 2014


    Various changes to the TUPE Regulations 2006 will come into force on this date. See our Alert of 5 September for a summary of the changes.

    6 April 2014

    Flexible Working

    All employees with 26 weeks’ service will have the right to request flexible working. The statutory procedure for handling requests will be removed and there will be a new Acas Code of Practice.
