Tax Avoidance: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is

    HM Revenue & Customs has had a good start to 2014, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sven-Goran Eriksson and Chris Moyles, less so. The reason? Decisions have been published in January and February which effectively shut down a couple of high profile tax avoidance schemes with the result that any individuals that had taken part in these arrangements needing to revisit their tax returns and, potentially, pay over substantial amounts to HMRC.
