The recently released quarterly publication of The Advisory Board Company’s General Counsel Agenda included an article by Squire Patton Boggs partner Stephen P. Nash and senior associate Mimi H. Brouillette. The article, “Public-Private Partnerships for Health Care – What Providers Need to Know about International Expansion and Finance Outside of the U.S.,” tells how public-private partnerships for healthcare have evolved over the past 20 years. It takes a look at the Alzira project, out of Valencia, Spain, and explains that US hospitals and healthcare systems interested in the revenue opportunities inherent in international expansion should keep such a partnership in mind.
