Treasury Allocation Regulations

    November 2015

The Treasury Department recently issued final regulations that provide long-awaited guidance on the allocation of tax-exempt bond proceeds and other sources of funding to mixed-use projects, the treatment of partnerships for purposes of determining the extent of private business use of such projects, and the ability to undertake remedial actions in respect of tax-exempt bonds where excess private business use is anticipated. Our Public Finance Tax lawyers have been posting entries to the Public Finance Tax Blog that summarize these final regulations and analyze various aspects of them, and they will continue to post analyses of these regulations as the matters to which they relate develop. We invite you to read the Public Finance Tax Blog to see our current analysis of these recently issued regulations and our posts on other issues that involve public finance.
