A detailed overview of major European Commission investigations, EU court judgments and legislative changes in the competition sphere in 2015, authored by Oliver Geiss and Will Sparks in our Brussels office, has been included in a recently published report on global competition law cases and developments, “The Public Competition Enforcement Review 2016.” This is the third successive year that the firm has been asked to provide a chapter on competition enforcement in the European Union.

The cases covered include the General Court’s judgment in the Airfreight cartel appeal, in which the Court annulled the Commission’s finding of an infringement and overturned fines totalling €790 million, and significant judgments in relation to information exchange (Dole v. Commission) and rebates (Post Danmark II).
