An ongoing government consultation, Non-domestic Private Rented Sector Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards: future trajectory to 2030 , could see UK landlords and tenants undertaking a serious review of their portfolios, as they face the prospect of a minimum energy efficiency rating of B by 2030. Driven by an ambitious target to “bring all greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050”, the proposals could have a significant impact on non-domestic property lettings.
