We have been monitoring and reporting on the shifting state, territorial and local government policies and guidance since the onset of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in the US. As many states have taken first steps to enter into the “reopening” phase, we are making available to the public this daily report where we provide updates on pandemic-related state and local executive actions.

With a significant portion of the country eager to return to some semblance of normalcy, many states’ and territories’ stay at home/shelter in place orders expired on April 30. We are closely monitoring in detail the actions – e.g., comments from governors, executive actions, plans/frameworks/timeline announcements, etc. – states have taken thus far to reinvigorate their economies. For ease of reference, the term “state” will represent all US states, territories and the District of Columbia.
