New Digital Markets Regulation Proposal in the UK

    The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has issued proposals for new digital markets regulation in the UK. These proposals are being made by the CMA in its report on its market study on digital advertising and online platforms and come on the heels of the Furman report and similar proposals in other countries around the world. For example, the European Commission is also consulting in parallel on a new package for the regulation of digital markets in the EU.
