This occasion is a tremendous milestone for Australian Leisure & Hospitality Group (ALH), which was granted a variation to the Como Hotel liquor licence, enabling it to turn the rundown pub into a thriving community destination. The planning and licensing approval process has taken just over six years, so we are delighted to celebrate our client’s significant achievement.
Partner Margie Tannock, along with associate Isabella Mosole, has continued to assist ALH navigate the various licensing and local authority approvals required to develop and operate the site. The opening of the reinvigorated Como Hotel is due to follow in the coming weeks.
The revitalised venue will be one of the first in Western Australia to operate a temporary extended outdoor dining area, pursuant to allowances introduced by the Hon. Rita Saffioti (Minister for Planning) to support venues to operate in accordance with social distancing guidelines, following the COVID-19 pandemic State of Emergency.
Our team is uniquely experienced in steering hospitality providers through WA’s complex liquor licensing processes. Our strategic advice and proven economic model has allowed our clients to continue to create true, vibrant community venues across Perth.
