Washington, D.C., August 16 - Patton Boggs LLP welcomes Anthony J. Laura to the firm as a partner in the New Jersey office. Mr. Laura, a past Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Product Liability and Toxic Tort Section, represents pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers in product liability matters and in complex commercial litigation. In addition, he also advises employers across the spectrum of employee relations matters, including discrimination defense and wrongful discharge claims, as well as on restrictive covenants and their enforcement. His experience in the financial services industry includes representing some of the nation’s largest banks in commercial and class action litigation.
Before joining Patton Boggs, Mr. Laura was partner at a top-15 international law firm counseling a number of the world’s leading companies in complex litigation and other high-stakes disputes. He formerly served as head of the firm’s New Jersey Trial Practice Group.

Mr. Laura graduated from Fordham University Law School in 1986 and worked on the Fordham Urban Law Journal. He holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University, where he earned a B.A., cum laude, in 1983.
