Global law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. has added bankruptcy lawyer Peter A. Zisser to its growing New York practice. Zisser joins the firm as of counsel.
“Peter’s wide-ranging bankruptcy and restructuring experience brings additional depth to our firmwide practice at a crucial time when many clients are facing increasing distress in this unprecedented economic climate. We are very pleased to welcome him to the firm,” said Stephen D. Lerner, who leads Squire Sanders’ bankruptcy and restructuring practice.
Zisser received his B.A. in 1973 from Boston University and his J.D., cum laude, in 1990 from New York Law School. Zisser also writes on bankruptcy issues for a variety of publications.
He is the most recent addition to the firm’s New York-based bankruptcy practice. Well-known bankruptcy lawyer Sandra E. Mayerson recently joined the steadily growing New York office. Since 2007, the firm has doubled its number of New York-based lawyers, adding litigation, maritime, and tax and benefits capabilities to its existing bankruptcy and restructuring, corporate transactions, finance and governance, and public finance practices.
