A team from Hammonds LLP has advised Live Nation on the disposal of its UK portfolio of 16 theatres to Ambassador Theatre Group, in a deal worth £90 million.
The acquisition will increase the number of theatres which Ambassador Theatre Group owns and operates to almost 40 across the UK, adding prestigious and high profile venues such as the Lyceum and Apollo Victoria in London's West End.
The Hammonds team was led by Corporate partner, Nick Allen, assisted by Corporate associate Jono Prosser and solicitor Alistair Francis. The other members of the team included Pensions partner Fraser Sparks, Property partners Andrew Sprake and Lindsay Texel, Tax partner Jon Stevens, Commercial partner Mike Butler, Employment partner David Whincup and Licensing partner Stephanie Perraton.
Nick Allen commented: "This complex and interesting transaction will enable Live Nation to concentrate on its core business of producing, marketing and selling live concerts."
Hammonds has a long relationship with Live Nation, acting as its principal lawyer in the UK and also advising across Hammonds' network of continental offices.
