The partners of global law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. have elected two new members to the firm’s management committee, which now includes a member from Asia in addition to members from Europe and the United States.
Tokyo-based corporate lawyer Steven S. Doi, former office managing partner, and trial lawyer Mark J. Ruehlmann, Cincinnati office managing partner, were recently elected to four-year terms. The committee acts as the firm’s board of directors, dealing with policy issues and matters such as partner compensation, and is composed of firm Chair James J. Maiwurm and six at-large members.
“Steve and Mark have served the firm exceptionally well as office managing partners, particularly in guiding the lawyers in their respective offices in providing high-quality and efficient legal service. The management committee and the firm will benefit from the valuable insight and perspectives they bring,” said Maiwurm.
Doi and Ruehlmann join continuing members Brian N. Hartnett of Brussels, Traci H. Rollins of West Palm Beach, and Frederick R. Nance and Timothy J. Sheeran of Cleveland.
