Washington, DC, March 16, 2010— Patton Boggs LLP welcomes revered White House correspondent Helen Thomas to discuss her newly published book about the American presidency.
“Listen Up, Mr. President: Everything You Always Wanted Your President to Know and Do,” is a richly detailed history of the Oval Office that Thomas co-authored with veteran political journalist Craig Crawford.
Thomas, widely known as the dean of the White House press corps, will share insights gleaned from five decades of reporting at a special book signing hosted by the Patton Boggs Women’s Forum.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the firm’s headquarters located at 2550 M Street, NW in Washington, DC. Thomas and Crawford will be on hand to answer questions and to sign books.
Having covered every president since Kennedy, Thomas provides keen observations about both political parties and delves into presidential lore dating back to President Washington.
“Helen Thomas was and remains a trailblazer. She led female reporters out of the style section and into the White House Press Corps,” said Deborah Lodge, a member of the Patton Boggs Women’s Forum. “Few journalists have had the ear of so many presidents. Helen Thomas has inspired and informed us all.”
