Squire, Sanders & Dempsey has received top ranking by Global Arbitration Review (GAR), a leading global publication that covers issues and trends in international dispute resolution law. Squire Sanders’ international dispute resolution (IDR) practice is listed among the top 30 firms in the 2011 GAR 100 list of leading IDR practices.
“While our clients’ feedback is the most meaningful and important way for us to measure success, it is always gratifying to be considered one of the world’s top 30 IDR practices,” said George M. von Mehren, head of Squire Sanders’ IDR practice.
Von Mehren noted the ranking does not reflect the additional strength stemming from Squire Sanders’ recent combination with Hammonds, which gives the practice new presence in Paris and Madrid. The combination went into effect Jan. 1, 2011.
“We have already identified ways the expanded practice can do more for clients, given the additional experience and global reach created by the combination,” von Mehren said.
Squire Sanders’ IDR practice is consistently recognized by other publications that evaluate IDR practices, including the biennial Arbitration Scorecard published by The American Lawyer.
