Brad Y. Chin, an associate with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey’s intellectual property and technology practice, has been named a new member of the following DuPont Minority Counsel Network (MCN) committees: Newsletter & Communications, Networking & Marketing, Mentoring & Retention, and the 2011 DuPont Minority Counsel Conference Planning Team. The DuPont MCN functions as a collaborative, cohesive body of attorneys of color who work for DuPont or for one of DuPont’s primary law firms or service providers to build relationships with other attorneys of color, demonstrate the value of a diverse legal team and enhance the expertise of the MCN members, among other diversity goals. As a member of these committees, Brad will help to craft MCN messages to its membership, solicit articles addressing issues facing attorneys of color, work with membership to facilitate and encourage professional relationships, and help plan the DuPont Minority Counsel Conference.
Laura K. Hong, a partner in the litigation practice and co-chair of Squire Sanders’ Asian/Pacific Islander Affinity Group, lauded Brad’s selection. “Squire Sanders has a long history of commitment to diversity. The firm's support of, as well as Brad’s individual willingness to work with, the DuPont MCN exemplify our continued commitment.”
