John E. Wyand, a Healthcare Associate at global legal practice Squire Sanders recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.
Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development with only 9,100 healthcare executives holding this distinction. To obtain this credential, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing an exam, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement.
Commenting on John’s new credentials, David W. Grauer, Global Healthcare Practice Leader at Squire Sanders said: “Becoming a fellow represents a continued achievement in meeting high standards of professional development, excellence and leadership as a healthcare executive. This is a great achievement for John and something which he has worked hard to achieve.”
“Because healthcare management ultimately affects the people in our communities, it is critically important to have a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization,” added Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, CAE, president and chief executive officer of ACHE.
