Firm wins ‘Gold Award’ for third time in four years
WASHINGTON DC, July 3, 2012— Patton Boggs LLP was named Best USA Law Firm: Regulatory and Public Procurement 2012 at the International Legal Alliance Summit and Awards (ILASA), held this month in Paris. The ‘Gold Award’ recognizes Patton Boggs for excellence in the practice of regulatory and public procurement law. It is the third time in the last four years that Patton Boggs has earned the recognition.
The international award reaffirms Patton Boggs’ reputation throughout North America and across the globe as a leading public policy law firm, with particular strength in administrative and regulatory practice. Patton Boggs was chosen from a field of more than 200 competing law firms. The firm was selected by vote of a specialist jury panel comprising general counsels and chief financial officers from leading Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft, IBM, L’Oréal, Disney and Cap Gemini, among others.
“We are honored to again be recognized by ILASA for excellence in regulatory law and public procurement,” said Edward J. Newberry, managing partner of Patton Boggs. “This award holds particular weight for us because it is conferred by an esteemed panel of general counsels and CFOs. It also recognizes our work at the intersection of business, law and government—an area of vital importance as we define our future.”
“The Jury members recognize Patton Boggs’ excellence among law firms in administrative and regulatory law, public policy and public-sector procurement,” said Richard Veyrec of Leaders League, which hosts the awards. “Recognition by a panel with such global perspective speaks to the growing perception of Patton Boggs as a strong national and international presence.”
ILASA brings together more than 600 senior representatives from leading law firms as well as general counsels from more than 40 countries, providing an opportunity for independent law firms to enhance their international referral network and to build new alliances, all over the world.
