Washington DC, July 16, 2013 – Patton Boggs LLP has again been recognized as one of the best law firms to work for in the United States, according to the latest Vault.com survey of law firm associates. Most notably, the firm maintained its number one ranking for Pro Bono, one of the key areas in the “Quality of Life” category. Patton Boggs has been in Vault’s top five for Pro Bono every year since 2008.
In addition, firm rankings for two other important Quality of Life areas went from number six to number two: Firm Culture and Associate-Partner Relations. Finally, Patton Boggs remained in the top ten – out of the 100 firms on the list – in the following key areas: Best to Work For, Satisfaction, Informal Training and Compensation.
To develop the ranking, Vault.com surveys associates at U.S. based law firms on a range of elements, including formal and informal training, firm culture, compensation and hours. Another consideration is pro bono work, an area in which Patton Boggs has earned consistently high rankings.
“Patton Boggs’ commitment to pro bono is central to our culture,” commented Michael S. Forshey, chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and managing partner for the firm’s Dallas office. “We believe that public service improves the quality of a lawyer’s life, elevates our profession, and ‘levels the playing field’ by increasing access to justice for disadvantaged individuals and families. We are gratified this unwavering commitment is embraced by our attorneys and reflected in our Vault rankings for so many consecutive years, and we are honored to be recognized.”
“Vault rankings are an important measure of our success in building a challenging, satisfying work environment for Patton Boggs associates,” said Edward J. Newberry, managing partner of Patton Boggs. “I can think of no better evidence of our success than the responses of associates to the Vault.com survey, and our continuing position in the top ten of so many key areas. We look forward to continued progress in creating the very best work environment of any law firm.”
