Squire Sanders announces the launch of its new blog, Compensation and Benefits – Global Insights, which follows significant developments in executive compensation, pay, pensions and benefits around the globe.
The blog will feature contributions from specialists in Squire Sanders’ Tax Strategy and Benefits, Corporate, Pensions, and Labor and Employment Practice Groups, giving both global and local perspectives on the issues presented by changes to employee share and stock plans, corporate benefits and rewards, pensions, remuneration policy and financial reporting requirements.
“This is a rapidly evolving and increasingly complex area of corporate governance and compliance,” explains Bernhard Gilbey, who leads the Squire Sanders Tax Strategy and Benefits Practice Group. “Greater government regulation, increased shareholder engagement, and frequently convoluted guidance from institutional investors, are among the many factors affecting companies, all in different ways in different jurisdictions. Our blog is intended to cut through the fog and shine some light on the most important developments as they arise.”
“We hope our blog will provide clients and others who are interested in international compensation issues with insights into the latest news and corporate best practice around the globe,” adds the blog’s editor, Mark Simpson, a partner in Tax Strategy and Benefits. “The blog will also provide access to Squire Sanders’ new UK Executive Remuneration Tracker, a regularly updated resource on the many consultations, proposals and recommendations now shaping remuneration in the UK.”
