Squire Sanders’ Riyadh office has been recognized as one of the top 10 employers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Employer Achievement Award for 2013 has been given to a select group of companies who best demonstrated their support of talent and diversity, their innovation in workplace practices and culture, and their promotion of women within their organization.
The award was collected by Squire Sanders partner Khulaif Al-Enezee from His Excellency Adel bin Muhammed Fakeih, Minister of Labor, at a ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel, Riyadh on Wednesday 11 December. The ceremony was part of the inaugural Talent and Diversity Leadership Forum, a two-day executive conference, organized by business information company naseba and Talent Enterprise and endorsed by the Saudi Ministry of Labor, which brings together 200 senior level executives to review and discuss talent development and diversity strategies in the Kingdom.
Squire Sanders was recognized for several of its accomplishments during the year including the establishment of a full women’s section and a pioneering co-op program with the Prince Sultan University College of Law. Nominations went through a 'blind-judging' process, where the names and identities of the organizations were kept confidential, and each application was assessed solely on merit. Other award recipients included Dar Al-Hekma College, Unilever KSA, PepsiCo KSA, BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, Bin Quraya Group, Arabian Health Care Supply Company, Saudi German Hospitals Group, and Focal Buildings Solutions.
Kevin Connor, MENA Co-ordinator for Squire Sanders, commented: “We are delighted to receive the Employer Achievement Award. To be recognized as one of the Top 10 employers in Saudi Arabia is a great honor. Our whole firm is committed to diversity, innovation and the nurturing of our people throughout our many offices; nowhere more so than in Riyadh where we have led the international professional community in the development and promotion of women attorneys. The award reflects this long-term commitment to hire, train, and support talented lawyers in Saudi Arabia to succeed in an ever globalizing market. We are grateful to naseba and Talent Enterprise for recognizing our efforts.”
