Squire Sanders has announced the appointment of partner Alison Hardy, who has joined the firm’s real estate litigation team from Wragge & Co.
Ms. Hardy is an experienced real estate litigation lawyer, with a career which also includes three years at Clifford Chance. She advises a range of clients including developers, investment funds, commercial landlords, occupational tenants and retailers on their property disputes. Ms. Hardy also has specialist knowledge of the telecoms industry, having spent time on secondment at Vodafone UK. Noted for her “expertise in handling property disputes in the telecoms sector,” according to Chambers and Partners in its 2014 client guide to the UK legal market, Ms. Hardy has advised Vodafone on establishing a joint venture with Telefónica UK, as well as advising other major telecoms companies on a variety of property issues.
Laurence Winston, head of Squire Sanders’ litigation team in London, said: “Alison’s diverse experience presents synergies across an array of different practices. She will expand the capabilities of our litigation and real estate practices in London, add depth to the services offered by our significant national real estate litigation team, and her telecoms-related experience is complementary to that of our telecoms practice group.”
“Alison is held in high regard by her clients for her specialist knowledge and expertise in handling high value, strategy critical work. We’re excited to welcome her to the firm and to further enhance the expertise of our real estate litigation team,” added Peter Crossley, Squire Sanders’ European Managing Partner.
Ms. Hardy is a committee member of the Property Litigation Association and is the sole property litigation member of the City of London Law Society Land Law Committee.
