Patton Boggs Senior Counsels and former Senators Trent Lott and John Breaux authored an op-ed with former Sen. Tom Daschle in which the three former senators identify the need to harness technology through greater broadband deployment and adoption of new modalities to address gaps in the current health care system. Sens. Lott, Breaux and Daschle are leading a diverse coalition working to raise awareness among policymakers about the advancements in telehealth, and to establish a regulatory environment in which patients have more access to connected care and medical providers are empowered to deliver safe, high-quality care using advanced delivery methods. The piece was published by The Hill the same day the Alliance for Connected Care was launched, February 12, 2014.
