DC Partner Dan Waltz was quoted in a Los Angeles Times article regarding a six-month accord reached with Iran while it negotiates a comprehensive agreement on its nuclear program. Although the preliminary agreement was meant to ease the effects of Western sanctions imposed against the country, Iranians claim to have felt little impact and most of the sanctions remain in place. "Delegations have gone to Iran to explore deals, but you haven't seen deals actually getting done," said Mr. Waltz in the piece published April 7, 2014. Four months into the arrangement, some international companies still fear they may incur penalties by moving too soon.
